Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- white vinegar - 2 c
- pickling spice - 1 tsp
How to make pickled beets:
Peel raw beets. Cook until tender. Combine first 5 ingredients in a saucepan. Heat to boiling. Add cooked beets. Simmer 10 minutes. Pack beets into canning jars. Pour syrup over beets. Seal. Yields about 4 pints.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Condiments, etc., Salads.
