  • salt - 6 Tbsp
  • water - 3 c
  • vinegar - 3 c
  • mustard seed - 1 item
  • garlic - 1 item
  • pickling spices - 1 tsp
  • to 36 medium cucumbers - 30 item
  • dill fresh or canned - 1 item
  • crystal or granulated alum - 1 tsp
  • finish filling can with cold water - 1 item

How to make dill pickles:

Let set 90 days. Heat lids. Open and wash through 2 or 3 waters. Slice round and cover with 2 cups sugar. Stir until dissolved. Let set overnight. Put in jars.
