Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- onions, chopped - 1/2 c
- bell pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- squash - 1 lb
- pecans, chopped or water chestnuts - 1/2 c
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash. Drain and mash. Add all ingredients (except margarine and cracker crumbs). Place in 2-quart casserole, greased. Top with crumbs and dot with margarine. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. (Suitable for freezing.) Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
