Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- egg, slightly beaten - 1 item
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- minced onion - 1/2 c
- finely chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- bread or cracker crumbs - 1 item
- squash - 1 lb
- chopped pecans optional - 1/2 c
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash; drain and mash. Add other ingredients, except butter and crumbs. Place mixture in 2-quart casserole dish. Top with crumbs and dot with butter. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
