Ingredients/Components
- squash - 1 lb
- medium onion, diced - 1 item
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cheese - 1 item
- cracker crumbs
How to make squash casserole:
Stew squash and onions until tender enough to mash. Add salt and pepper. In 1 1/2-quart casserole, alternate layers of squash, cracker crumbs and soup. Bake at 400° until top browns. Sprinkle cheese on top.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
