Shrimp with artichokes
Ingredients/Components
- mushrooms, sliced - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- flour - 1/2 c
- half and half - 3 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- parsley - 2 Tbsp
- each: salt and pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- drops Tabasco sauce - 3 item
- cans artichoke hearts, drained - 2 oz
- large shrimp, cooked, shelled and deveined - 3 lb
- Swiss cheese, grated - 2 c
How to make shrimp with artichokes:
Preheat oven to 375°. Saute mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes. Blend in flour; cook and stir 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in half and half and milk. Add parsley, salt, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened; set aside. Arrange artichoke hearts and shrimp in greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Cover with mushroom sauce. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes, or until bubbly. Makes 6 to 8 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Shellfish, Shrimp.
