Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- large onions, chopped - 2 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- fresh mushrooms, sliced - 1 lb
- tomato sauce
- cayenne pepper - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- sweet basil - 2 tsp
- dash of Tabasco sauce - 1 item
- peeled, cooked shrimp - 1 2
- rice - 2 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- water - 4 c
How to make shrimp creole:
Saute first 3 ingredients in a deep skillet until tender. Add next 6 ingredients. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Cook remaining ingredients. Boil until liquid is absorbed (do not stir). Let set for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork. Either add the rice to the sauce and mix well or pour the sauce over each serving of rice.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
