Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- shrimp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- margarine, melted - 1/4 c
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- canned tomatoes - 2 c
- cooked rice - 1 item
How to make shrimp creole:
Wash, peel and devein shrimp. If large, cut in half crosswise. Cook onion, pepper and garlic in margarine until tender. Blend in flour and seasonings. Crush tomatoes and add. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add shrimp and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Serve over rice. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
