Shrimp creole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- tomato paste - 3 Tbsp
- celery, diced
- green pepper, diced - 1 item
- cooked shrimp - 3 c
- can tomatoes - 1 qt
- medium onions, diced - 2 item
- bacon drippings - 4 Tbsp
How to make shrimp creole:
Combine onions, green pepper and celery. Fry in bacon drippings for 15 to 20 minutes. Add tomatoes, sugar and tomato paste. Stir to break tomatoes. Let this mixture simmer slowly to thick consistency, about 30 to 45 minutes. Add salt and pepper. FifRecipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
