Ingredients/Components

  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • warm water - 1 c
  • buttermilk - 2 c
  • oil - 3/4 c
  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • salt - 3 tsp
  • baking powder - 4 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 6-1/2 c

How to make refrigerator biscuits:

Mix all together well. Turn out on paper with a lot of flour and knead until smooth. Put in greased bowl and put bowl in plastic bag and refrigerate. When ready to use pinch off amount you need and place on floured paper and knead a few times. Cut into biscuits. Turn biscuits in greased pan and bake in 400° oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until done.

If you want buns, let the biscuits set out for about 1-1/2 to 2 hours before baking.

You can keep this refrigerated 2 months or more.
