Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • warm water - 1/2 c
  • yeast - 3 pkg
  • unsifted self-rising flour - 5 c
  • lukewarm buttermilk - 2 c

How to make refrigerator biscuits:

Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside. Mix flour, sugar and soda; cut in Crisco, then add buttermilk and yeast. Roll out dough; cut out biscuits. Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.

Use as much as desired. Mixture can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
