Mom's swedish meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- chopped meat - 1 lb
- egg - 1 item
- bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- water - 1/4 c
- jar grape jam - 1 oz
- jar apricot jam - 1 oz
- small bottle chili sauce - 1 item
- lemon, squeezed - 1/2 item
- brown sugar - 1/4 c
- white raisins optional - 1/2 c
How to make mom's swedish meatballs:
Combine meat, egg, bread crumbs and water. Blend all; if too dry, add a little water. If too wet, add more crumbs. Form into small meatballs; set aside. Combine jams, chili, lemon juice and brown sugar in a pot. Heat until melted. Add raisins and stir. Add meatballs; stir and cook on low heat about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, Veal.
