- salt - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
- chopped onions - 1 c
- chopped bell pepper - 1 c
- eggs, beaten well - 3 item
- grated sharp cheese - 1 c
- self-rising meal - 3 c
- small can pimento - 1 item
- sweet milk or cream - 2 c
- small hot pepper, chopped or to taste - 1 item
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix well as listed. Pour into a well-greased cookie sheet or pan. Bake in preheated oven at 375° until golden brown and firm in middle (30 to 45 minutes). Test with toothpick.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
