- stick butter - 1 item
- medium head cabbage - 1 item
- saltine crackers - 1 2
- cheese Cheddar or American, use to top casserole - 1 item
How to make scalloped cabbage:
Boil cabbage until tender in water. While hot drain water and keep to put back into mixture if needed. With fork work butter into hot cabbage, chopped to a fine texture. Crumble crackers to fine crumbs.In baking dish, add cabbage and butter. Sprinkle crackers onto cabbage and butter mixture. Texture can be achieved with amount of crackers and water from cabbage you use. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
