Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- plain flour - 3 c
- black walnut flavoring - 1 Tbsp
- sticks butter - 2 item
- black walnuts lightly floured - 1 c
How to make black walnut pound cake:
Cream butter and shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add milk and flour alternately, mixing well. Add flavoring and nuts.Place in a greased and floured pan. Place in cold oven. Set heat to 325° and bake 1 hour. Increase heat to 350° and bake 30 minutes longer or until done.
