Mexican corn bread
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- cooking oil - 1/2 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- yellow corn meal - 1 c
- can creamed corn - 1 item
- can green chilies - 1 item
- grated Longhorn cheese - 1/2 lb
- ground beef, partly cooked - 1 lb
How to make mexican corn bread:
Mix corn meal, soda and salt together, then mix cooking oil, milk, eggs and creamed corn together, then combine the two. Layer the combined things and then the cheese, beef, onion and chilies in a greased pan. Heat in a 350° oven for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: < 4 hours, Breads, Mexican.
