Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- pepper - 3/4 tsp
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- carrots, sliced - 2 lb
- green pepper, cut into strips - 1 item
- mustard optional - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce optional - 1 tsp
How to make marinated carrots:
Cook sliced carrots in salted water until they are just tender, not soft. Drain. Pour tomato soup into pan; add sugar, vinegar and oil. Simmer until hot and sugar is dissolved. Add sliced onions and green pepper. Let stand a few minutes. Add the carrots and refrigerate.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Vegetables, Carrots.
