Ingredients/Components

  • celery, chopped - 1 c
  • onion, chopped - 1 med
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1-1/2 tsp
  • tomatoes, stewed - 1 lb
  • frozen shrimp - 7 oz
  • sherry - 1/4 c
  • Cheddar cheese, shredded - 1-1/2 c
  • eggs, hard cooked and chopped - 4 item
  • rice, cooked - 3 c

How to make louisiana shrimp bake:

Saute vegetables in margarine. Blend in flour and salt and cook until bubbly. Stir in tomatoes, shrimp and sherry. Bring to a boil. Simmer covered for 10 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese, eggs and rice. Pour in 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375° for 25-35 minutes or microwave for 5-7 minutes.
