Beef brisket
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- can sliced mushrooms - 1 item
- onion, sliced - 1 item
- beef brisket - 6 lb
- red wine to cover - 1 item
- flour to make gravy - 1 item
- can small white cooked onions - 1 item
How to make beef brisket:
Place brisket in 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour red wine over it and onion, sliced. Cook about 6 to 7 hours at 300°, covered, until tender. Cool overnight. Slice thinly. Reserve juice.Gravy: Take fat off of juice and brown flour and sugar in it. Add rest of juice. You may need to add water, too. Lay meat slices in pan; top with small white cooked onions and mushrooms. Pour gravy over and cook at 350° for 45 minutes.
