Italian spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 4 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- oregano - 1 Tbsp
- tomato paste - 4 cans
- chopped parsley - 3/4 c
- cloves garlic, crushed - 4 item
- bay leaves - 2 item
- tomatoes, cut up - 1 peck
- leaf basil
- dry red wine optional - 1 2
- or 2 cans mushrooms - 1 item
How to make italian spaghetti sauce:
Saute garlic and onion in oil in large kettle until tender. Discard garlic; add tomatoes, tomato paste, parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, basil and bay leaves. Bring to boiling, stirring. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally for 2 hours.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Sauces, Main dish.
