Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 3 Tbsp
  • vegetable oil - 4 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1 tsp
  • oregano - 1 Tbsp
  • tomato paste - 4 cans
  • chopped parsley - 3/4 c
  • cloves garlic, crushed - 4 item
  • bay leaves - 2 item
  • tomatoes, cut up - 1 peck
  • leaf basil
  • dry red wine optional - 1 2
  • or 2 cans mushrooms - 1 item

How to make italian spaghetti sauce:

Saute garlic and onion in oil in large kettle until tender. Discard garlic; add tomatoes, tomato paste, parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, basil and bay leaves. Bring to boiling, stirring. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, stirring occasionally for 2 hours.
