  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 1 tsp
  • honey - 1 Tbsp
  • ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • orange juice - 1/4 c
  • chopped parsley for garnish - 1 item
  • medium carrots - 10 item

How to make gingered carrots:

Cut carrots crosswise in 1/2-inch thick slices. Cook, covered, until just tender. Drain. Then combine honey, cornstarch, salt and ginger in a small saucepan. Add orange juice. Cook and stir constantly until bubbly and thick. Boil 1 minute. Stir in butter. Pour over hot carrots, stirring to coat evenly. Garnish with parsley.
