How to make hash brown potato casserole:
Brown the onion in 1/2 stick butter. In a large bowl, mix potatoes, soups, cheese, sour cream, salt and onion. Put in a 3-quart baking dish. Melt 1/2 stick butter. Mix with bread crumbs and sprinkle on top of potatoes. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Vegetables.
