Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- cream - 4 Tbsp
- mild vinegar - 1/2 c
- cooked, sliced beets - 3 c
How to make harvard beets:
Cook and stir last 4 ingredients until clear. When clear, add beets and place pan, covered, over hot water for 1/2 hour. Just before serving, heat beets again and add 2 tablespoons butter.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
