Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- salt - 1/2 c
- water - 2 c
- vinegar - 1 qt
- onion slices - 1 item
- medium cucumbers - 12 item
- celery stalks - 2 item
- dill heads - 8 item
How to make dill pickles:
Wash cucumbers; cut into 1-inch pieces, enough to fill 4-quart jars. Now to each jar, add 3 to 4 slices onion, 2 pieces of celery and 2 heads of dill. Dissolve sugar and salt in vinegar water. Bring to boil. Pour while still hot over cucumbers. Use in 30 days.In memory of Lucy Alexander.
