Cream of green bean soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 qt
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- tomato juice - 1 c
- medium onion, sliced - 1 item
- sausage - 1/2 lb
- potatoes, pared and diced - 2 item
- green beans fresh - 1/2 lb
How to make cream of green bean soup:
Cut sausage into 1-inch pieces and brown. Add onion. Cook 2 to 3 minutes. Pour off fat. Add tomato juice, potatoes, water and beans which have been cut into inch-long pieces. Simmer 15 minutes or until tender. Add flour which has been stirred to a smooth paste with milk. Simmer 5 minutes. Season and serve.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Main dish, One Dish meal.
