Cheesy corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- water
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- sliced carrots - 1 c
- sliced celery - 1/2 c
- chopped potatoes
- can creamed corn or 2 c - 1 oz
How to make cheesy corn chowder:
Combine first 7 ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Simmer 15 minutes until vegetables are tender.Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in flour and cook until bubbly. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and cook one minute. Add cheese and stir until melted. Gradually add cheese sauce to soup, stirring constantly. Stir in corn.
