  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • water - 1/4 c
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • German sweet chocolate - 1 pkg

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Stir German sweet chocolate in 1/4 cup water over low heat until melted and cool. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, creaming well. Add chocolate, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well. Pour in tube pan and bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool and remove from pan.
