  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate pound cake:

Cream together butter and shortening. Add sugar. Add eggs, then vanilla. Sift all dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients and milk to creamed mixture. Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
