  • eggs - 2 item
  • granulated sugar - 1/2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • evaporated milk - 1/2 c
  • coconut
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • can fruit cocktail - 1 oz

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Combine cake mix, fruit cocktail with syrup, 1 cup coconut and the eggs in large mixing bowl. Blend, then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.

Topping: Bring butter, sugar and milk to a boil in a saucepan. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in coconut. Spread over cake. Serve warm or cool.
