- eggs - 2 item
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- coconut
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
- can fruit cocktail - 1 oz
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Combine cake mix, fruit cocktail with syrup, 1 cup coconut and the eggs in large mixing bowl. Blend, then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.Topping: Bring butter, sugar and milk to a boil in a saucepan. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in coconut. Spread over cake. Serve warm or cool.
