Chocolate pie



  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • eggs, separated - 3 item
  • cocoa - 1/2 c

How to make chocolate pie:

Scald milk in double boiler; add sugar, flour, cocoa and salt and blend well, stirring until thick and smooth (20 minutes). Beat egg yolks and pour a bit of hot mixture into this and return to double boiler for 5 minutes. Add vanilla and cool. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue.
