  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • unsweetened chocolate - 4 sq
  • baked pie shell - 1 item
  • almonds or chocolate shavings for garnish - 1 item

How to make french silk pie:

Melt butter in small saucepan. Melt chocolate separately in a double boiler. Set over hot water. Mix chocolate, butter and sugar in a mixer on high speed for 8 minutes, then add eggs, one at a time. Fill pie shell with chocolate mixture and chill 3 to 4 hours. Garnish pie with almonds or chocolate.
