Chicken pie



  • fryer a nice fat one - 1 item
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • can cream of celery soup - 1 item
  • chicken broth - 1 1
  • stick margarine, melted - 1 item
  • self-rising flour - 1 c
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • black pepper optional - 1 tsp
  • small can mixed vegetables, drained - 1 item

How to make chicken pie:

Boil chicken until done. Remove from bones and cut into small pieces. Place in large baking dish. Mix cream of chicken and cream of celery soups with 1 1/2 cups chicken broth. Fold in mixed vegetables. Pour over cut up chicken. Mix self-rising flour, melted margarine and buttermilk together; spoon over chicken-soup mixture. Bake at 425° until golden brown.
