Chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1/3 c
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- carrots - 2 item
- stalks celery - 3 item
- chicken - 1 item
- medium to large onion - 1 item
- boiled eggs, cut up - 4 item
- envelope Good Seasons Italian dressing - 1 item
- ground pork or veal or Italian sausage - 1 Tbsp
How to make chicken and dumplings:
Boil chicken with carrots, celery and onion. Drain. Throw carrots and celery away. Cut up chicken and place in broth. Add 1/3 cup flour, 2 tablespoons of Good Seasons Italian dressing and eggs. Add to chicken; add seasoned salt, also. Take 6 cups flour, 3 tablespoons butter and little of chicken broth and mix together. Roll out the dumpling mix, then cut in strips and place in chicken and cook until done.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, Whole chicken.
