- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1/4 tsp
- paprika - 1/4 tsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- slivered almonds - 1/4 c
How to make cheesy vegetable casserole:
Cook frozen vegetables per package directions. Drain. Turn into 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. In saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat; add flour. Gradually add milk; stir constantly until thickened, about 5 minutes. Add spices and 1 cup of cheese; stir until cheese is melted. Spoon sauce over vegetables; toss to coat. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and almonds. Bake 5 minutes more. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Side dish, Casseroles.
