Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- corn syrup - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1 c
- popped corn - 6 qt
How to make caramel corn:
Melt butter; stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt. Boil, without stirring, for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popped corn, mixing well.Pour onto 2 large (9 x 13-inch) pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely. Break up and store tightly covered.
