Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 Tbsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • corn syrup - 1/4 c
  • margarine - 1/2 c
  • popcorn - 3 qts

How to make caramel corn:

Melt butter in pan for 1/2 hour. Stir every 15 minutes at 250 degrees. Stir in brown sugar, syrup and salt. Bring to a boil. Stir constantly. Boil 5 minutes over medium heat, do not stir. Remove from heat and add soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn and mix well.
