Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 c
- popped corn - 6 qt
- dark corn syrup - 1/2 c
- cream of tartar - 1/8 tsp
- oleo - 1 c
How to make caramel corn:
Boil sugar, oleo, syrup and cream of tartar for 7 minutes. Place popcorn in large roaster; pour sugar mixture over top, stirring, until coated. Place in oven and bake at 250° for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes. You can also add 2 cups salted peanuts to popcorn before baking.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, American.
