Ingredients/Components
- or 3 slightly beaten eggs - 2 item
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 item
How to make baked custard:
Combine eggs, sugar and salt. Bring milk to scalding and stir into egg mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into custard cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Place cups in pan of hot water. Bake in a 325° oven until mixture does not adhere to a knife (about 30 minutes).Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Egg.
