Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/8 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- egg - 1 item
- few grains salt - 1 item
- sprinkle of nutmeg - 1 item
How to make baked custard:
Beat the egg slightly; stir in milk, salt and vanilla. If you wish, add artificial sweetener to flavor. Pour into custard cup and sprinkle with nutmeg. Set in pan of hot water and bake in 350° oven 45 minutes. Other flavors such as almond, lemon, orange or maple may be used in place of vanilla.
