Asparagus casserole
Ingredients/Components
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- grated cheese - 2 c
- cracker crumbs - 2 c
- stick oleo - 1 item
- can mushroom soup - 1 item
- hard-cooked eggs, sliced - 4 item
- small can English peas - 1 item
- large can asparagus - 1 item
How to make asparagus casserole:
Grate cheese and mix with cracker crumbs. Add liquid of asparagus to mushroom soup and set aside. Put layer of cheese and crackers in bottom of buttered casserole, layer of asparagus, layer of sliced, hard-boiled eggs and a layer of water chestnuts. Repeat until all ingredients have been used. Sprinkle over top English peas. Use melted oleo on each layer and on top. Put rest of cheese and crumbs on top. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Asparagus, Main dish, Casseroles.
