Asparagus casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sharp Cheddar cheese, grated - 1 lb
- can condensed cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- cans asparagus spears - 2 oz
- small box Ritz crackers - 1 item
How to make asparagus casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Put a layer of crackers in a 1 1/2 or 2-quart casserole. Drain asparagus; save juice. Spread one can asparagus spears on the layer of crackers. Spread 1/2 pound of the grated cheese over the asparagus. Dilute soup with 1/2 can of water and/or juice from the asparagus. Pour 1 cup of diluted soup over cheese. Repeat directions to make a second layer of ingredients. Crush or crumble enough Ritz crackers to make a layer covering the mixture. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until cheese is melted.
