Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1/2 c
  • butter or margarine - 3 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • grated cheese - 1 c
  • cracker crumbs - 1 c
  • medium onion, sliced - 1 item
  • yellow squash - 2 lb

How to make yellow squash casserole:

Boil onion and squash together until done; drain and season with butter, salt and pepper. Mash. Add cracker crumbs, 1/2 of the cheese, milk and egg. Stir. Pour into baking dish and top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
