Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- whole mushrooms - 1 c
- wild and long grain rice - 2 pkg
How to make wild rice casserole:
Cook rice by package directions; set aside. Melt butter. Add flour. Add milk slowly, stirring constantly. Add cheese; stir until smooth. Add the salt. Butter a 2-quart casserole. Alternate layers of rice, mushrooms and sauce; end with sauce on top. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Rice.
