- milk - 1 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- diced, cooked chicken - 2 c
- quick cooking long grain and wild rice - 1 pkg
How to make wild rice and chicken casserole:
Prepare rice as directed on package. Spoon into lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Meanwhile, melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour. Gradually add milk and stir over low heat until thickened and smooth. Add cheese and lemon juice, stirring until cheese is melted. Add chicken and sauce to rice; mix well.
