Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • skim milk - 1 c
  • sliced green onions - 1/2 c
  • sliced mushrooms - 1/2 c
  • Chablis - 1/4 c
  • chopped chicken breasts - 4 c

How to make wild rice and chicken casserole:

Cook rice according to directions and set aside. Melt margarine in saucepan. Add flour. Stir until smooth.

Add milk and cook 1 minute. Stir constantly until bubbly and thickened. Remove from heat and stir in wine. Coat skillet with a cooking spray. Place over medium heat until hot. Add mushrooms and onions. Saute until tender.

Combine vegetables, rice, sauce and chicken, stirring well. Spoon mixture into 2-quart casserole, coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
