Ingredients/Components

  • cooked lentils - 3 c
  • plain bread crumbs - 1 c
  • egg whites - 3 item
  • cooked spinach - 1 c
  • chopped carrots, cooked - 1/2 c
  • chopped green onions - 1/2 c
  • shredded Cheddar - 1 c
  • black pepper - 1 Tbsp
  • olive oil - 1 Tbsp
  • salt to taste - 1 item
  • wheat buns - 8 item

How to make veggie burger:

Combine lentils, bread crumbs, egg whites, spinach, carrots, onions, Cheddar cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl. Shape into 6 equal patties. Place on baking sheet. Refrigerate for 2 hours.

Heat the oil in large nonstick skillet. Add burgers; cook 6 minutes, turning over once halfway through cooking. Serve hot.
