Veggie burger
Ingredients/Components
- cooked lentils - 3 c
- plain bread crumbs - 1 c
- egg whites - 3 item
- cooked spinach - 1 c
- chopped carrots, cooked - 1/2 c
- chopped green onions - 1/2 c
- shredded Cheddar - 1 c
- black pepper - 1 Tbsp
- olive oil - 1 Tbsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
- wheat buns - 8 item
How to make veggie burger:
Combine lentils, bread crumbs, egg whites, spinach, carrots, onions, Cheddar cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl. Shape into 6 equal patties. Place on baking sheet. Refrigerate for 2 hours.Heat the oil in large nonstick skillet. Add burgers; cook 6 minutes, turning over once halfway through cooking. Serve hot.
