Split pea and barley soup
Ingredients/Components
- water
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- minced garlic - 1 tsp
- barley - 1/2 c
- thyme - 1/4 tsp
- stalks celery, diced - 2 item
- large carrots, diced - 2 item
- large can Primeburger - 1/4 c
- dried split peas, rinsed and drained about 10 oz
How to make split pea and barley soup:
Put all ingredients in a 3 to 4-quart pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, about 1 hour. When peas begin to fall apart and vegetables are tender, soup is done.Recipe categories: Grains, Soups & stews, Carrots.
