Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- white cornmeal
- melted bacon grease - 2 Tbsp
How to make corn cakes:
Put all ingredients in a bowl and beat with electric mixer 1 1/2 to 2 minutes at top speed. If mixed by hand, beat eggs before adding. Batter will be thin. Cook on hot griddle that is generously greased with bacon grease.Recipe categories: Grains, Vegetables, Corn.
