Caesar salad
Ingredients/Components
- anchovies - 4 oz
- Dijon mustard - 3 Tbsp
- garlic, chopped - 2 oz
- egg yolks - 4 item
- red wine vinegar - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1 c
- olive oil - 1 qt
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
- romaine lettuce - 12 c
- croutons - 1 item
How to make caesar salad:
Cut a loaf of stale bread into 1/4-inch cubes. Season with melted butter, thyme, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Bake until crisp. In a large bowl, grind anchovies to a paste-like consistency. Stir in all remaining ingredients except romaine lettuce. Tear romaine lettuce into large pieces and place in a large bowl. Pour salad dressing over lettuce and toss salad.
