Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1 c
- sugar - 2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- 1/2 flour - 2 item
- eggs - 5 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- soda - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- seedless blackberry jam - 1 c
- raisins - 1 c
- coconut - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- crushed pineapple - 1 c
- Mix soda and buttermilk
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- stick butter - 1 item
How to make jam cake:
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Mix soda and buttermilk. Blend in egg mixture. Add flour slowly. Cook raisins and add to mixture along with other ingredients. Spray 3 round cake pans with cooking spray (I prefer Baker's Joy cooking spray). Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Icing:1 1/2 c. Pet milk1 box powdered sugar1 stick butter Place ingredients in heavy saucepan over medium heat. Once mixture comes to a rolling boil, stir constantly.
